Unit could not play CDs. I was able to get the unit into test mode, but the CD motor did not spin with a CD inserted. The lens only moved up and down a few times. Laser output using a laser power meter was determined to only be about 0.05 mW. In order to get a reading the laser power meter sensor had to be brought really close to the optical lens. No further testings was done. If a cheap laser head can be found, it will be installed.
