Initial look at an old IT-28 capacitor capacitor checker which came from an eBay seller. Was supposed to be "like new." Eyetube would not work because a tube had been removed. Tube still would not glow after it had been installed; a liberal use of contact cleaner on the pins and socket cleared up the problem. All switches and potentiometers were cleaned thoroughly; if not, then the unit might act erratically. The manual had only been spot read at this point.
